After a very warm welcome from Penny she showed us to our very pleasant room. After dining out at a local pub we enjoyed a good nights sleep in a really comfortable bed. In the morning we were treated to an excellent breakfast with the other guests before going on our way. We will return. Having been a regular visitor to the resort for many years, and now semi-retired, I wanted somewhere that felt like home to spend a few days each month. The Guest House is immaculate throughout, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Mark and Lyn are cordial hosts and quickly become friends with their visitors nothing is too much trouble and they are always available with help and advice. Their full English breakfast is awesome! The ensuite bedrooms have every available facility, tea, coffee and biscuit, iron & ironing board, hairdryer the bathroom cabinet has those little items you sometimes forget to pack, cotton wool, cotton buds and plasters etc. I last stayed there over Easter this year, from Good Friday to Tuesday 10th April, the relaxed environment made for a very comfortable stay. Our room was of a very high standard with an ensuite, it was also extremely clean, comfortable and the house as a whole was very warm and inviting. The owners booked us a table at The Fishermans Rest which was only 2 minutes walk away and we enjoyed a lovely meal. We slept extremely well and had a walk around the beautiful abbey in the morning, we are very much looking forward to returning to this lovely bed and breakfast.
